It doesn't... well I'm pretty sure it doesn't. The cowl on tims car has been finessed and the Stock RAM AIR hood wouldn't fit over it ( i believe).

regular T/A hood would never make it.

Not entirely true. It depends on the elbow you're going to use. A low-profile elbow (which will flow worse and bias more air towards the side of the intake that the back of the elbow is facing) can fit under the stock cowl. The hood isn't the problem, the cowl is.

I'll be using one with my next build.

intakeelbows.com is a decent place to get a sheetmetal intake that will clear stock cowl/hoods.

I'm sure the edelbrock nutswingers will chime in and say that the edelbrock intake is the only way to go however.

Either way... elbow + carb style intake + n/a or nitrous motor = big restriction. Do a search on ls1tech and ask some of the big name guys over there.... most people frown on them.

I see alot of NA guys starting to use the 4hole TB instead of the elbows I know this doesn't help Tim's application but this is just for info.

Ya it mounts flat to the intake rather than needing an elbow. Dan is 100% correct on NA/N2O builds you need to be running the high flow elbows or else you will loose ALOT. And by running these you need to upgrade your hood... The reason we went with the Edelbrock Elbow is that it was cheap and matched the cast look of the lower intake....
