Yea, no joke. we are definitely on track on my car, but like Tater and I talked about last night: WE WILL NOT RUSH THIS BUILD.

The goal is obviously make a 9.50 index car. More importantly, it's to show you don't have to ship your car off to a big-name shop and spend 40k+ to have a clean looking 9.50's car.

That being said, HELL YEA, i am spending money out my ass. This stuff is not cheap. Even with smoking deals i've gotten so far, It's still crazy $$$$. But no where even in the ballpark of what you would get charged at a brand name shop.

As for Lemon's, I already let the cat out of the bag on mine, I guess I'm screwed!

Jason--You better make sure you bring enough bottle!

Ya it actually worked really well. I had to use a piece of stainless sheet metal I had kicking around between the jack and the cowl, I didnt want to dimple or warp the cowl at all. so far its looking good. some mroe welding and sanding and itll be beautiful!

I doubt it's going to take any more than 16-17psi to pull 9's out of the car(god i hope not)
From what small things I've seen on the forced induction section on tech, that's about the borderline for when guys start lifting heads. but most of them had iron blocks.

You FI guys have so much less problems with cylinder pressure....

I agree.

I think using straight C16(not even trying to mess around with 93) and XFI to control the motor will allow me to push the limits a little more than typical.

Stupid advice, as it's what I'm doing to my motor...

You can always o-ring the heads. Doesn't cost too much....

Lots of nitrous guys do that and run multi-layered graphite gaskets. But you FI are another book....

Ya O ringing isnt worth a damn for us. The MLS is all we need to run the number. If we really want to push the cyl pressure theres a pretty cool technic that you actually do the opposite of O ringing. you deck the block except the circle around the cyl and then machine an edge on the "lip". when you bolt the head down, the cyl actually cuts into the head and you have a perfect seal easily handling ANYTHING you can throw at it.
